War moves people. We don't mean emotionally - although it does that, too - we mean physically. War moves people, but how and in which directions is never easy to predict. The journey of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan is rarely a clean arc of a single deployment, service, and reintegration, but rather many cycles of entering and leaving the theater of war.
